On Feb. 5, 1880 was the personal estate sale of Felix Green. Sept. 15, 1880 was the land sale of Felix, as indicated in the old record book
of Charles E. Green. The estate sale took place 1/2 mile south and 1/2 mile west of Thomas , IN. which would have been Charles E. Green's home.
Charels E. Green married Hettie Mack, daughter of Samuel and Mary (Moyer) Mack on Jan. 21, 1887 by Chas. Temper in Warren Co. IN.
Charles's land was located Sec. 12, Range 11, Ross Twp. with 40 acres. He built his home Oct. 1878 on the 40 acres. April 1, 1885, he bought J.H. Bradin's store and stock of Drug for $920. On May 14, 1885 he started a Post Office there also. (as indicated in his record book)
Charles died of paralysis, several months of having many strokes.

OBIT:
"Prominent Resident of Alivn Community Passes Away Sunday Afternoon"
Charles E. Green, 72, prominent resident of the Alvin community, where he had lived for the past 66 years, died at his home, four and one-half miles east of Alvin at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The death of the well-known citizen was caused by paralysis, and while it came as a distinct shock to many of his friends throughout that section of the county, it was not unexpected, as he has been ill for the past ten weeks, and in critical condition for more than a week preceding his death.
Mr. Green was a native of Ireland, where he was born in February, 1855. He came to this country and direct to the Alvin neighborhood when a small boy and had since resided there. He was one of the most widely known farmers in that section of the country.
The widow, Mrs. Hettie Mack Green, and ten children survive him. The children are Charles L., Louis, Daniel, Samuel, and Lawrence Green, all of Alvin; Donald of Georgia, Mrs. Forrest Poland of Foxworth, Miss.; Mrs. hardy Drullinger of Covington, Ind., Mrs. Maurice Wilson of Alvin, and Mrs. Earl Drullinger of Bismarck.
The funeral is in charge of Albert A. Berhalter of Danville, will be held at 9:30 o'clcok, Wednesday morning from St. Anthony's Church in Hoopeston. The Rev. Father Gahlman, will officiate and the body will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery.
